Pornhub has announced that Bitcoin and Litecoin can be used to access premium contents.

Previously, the adult entertainment site enables payment with stablecoins like Tether (USDT), Tron (TRX), privacy coins Verge (XVG), and Horizen (ZEN), and PumaPay (PMA) token.

In a press release by Pornhub’s vice president, Corey Price, pornhub continues to pave the way for tech development, testing, and implementing new technology for everyday consumers far ahead of the mainstream market.

He revealed further that the entertainment site is only 1 year older than Bitcoin having been founded in 2007. Price said that the website is the ninth most popular in the world with 3 billion monthly visitors.

Cryptos and porn reportedly have blended for a long time in society’s subconscious reportedly.

The relationship co-existed since the pre-Bitcoin days. Then, cypherpunks believed that porn would be an early adopter of non-governmental digital currencies.

Satoshi Nakamoto reportedly said something similar in 2010.

“Bitcoin would be convenient for people who don’t have a credit card or don’t want to use the cards they have, either don’t want the spouse to see it on the bill or don’t trust giving their number to “porn guys”, or afraid of recurring billing, Satoshi said.

How Paypal made Pornhub subscribers demand Bitcoin

Before Pornhub enabled Bitcoin payment, subscribers to the adult site already demanded for it. Last year, Pornhub had issues with Paypal after the payment firm blocked Pornhub’s Live Performer Payouts.

Several announcements followed the developement. The adult site told subscribers that the current available payment methods are Paxum, check, verge (XVG) cryptocurrency, and direct deposit.

After the announcement, XVG experienced a rise in value, crypto prices were down at that time. While users were responding to the entertainment site, they asked pornhub to accept more cryptos like BCH, BTC, and ETH.

A particular subscriber wrote then that Bitcoin Cash is there to help you and your customers.” “All models should contact Brenna Sparks to help them accept crypto payments,” another person tweeted.

For years now many cryptocurrency advocates have proposed that the adult industry combines forces with the crypto industry.
